As the Director of Robotic Surgery and Director of Urology at Union hospital, Dr. Zaher has established himself as a leader in minimally invasive and robotic procedures, helping patients experience faster recovery times, reduced pain, and excellent surgical outcomes. His advanced skills in robotic techniques allow for precision cancer removal while preserving healthy tissue whenever possible.

Dr. Zaher completed his fellowship training in Urological Oncology at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he gained extensive experience in treating complex urologic cancers. Prior to that, he completed his urology residency at Detroit Medical Center/Michigan State University, refining his skills in both traditional and robotic surgical approaches.

In addition to surgical excellence, Dr. Zaher has extensive experience managing advanced prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and upper tract urothelial cancers using a combination of surgery and medical therapies. His treatment strategies often include hormone therapy, intravesical chemotherapy, intravesical immunotherapy, and even intraoperative chemotherapy for high-risk tumors. This comprehensive, multimodal approach allows him to provide personalized cancer care that is both aggressive and compassionate.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Zaher is passionate about advancing the field of urology through research and education. He holds an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor position at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he enjoys teaching the next generation of physicians.
