Concussion Management

Trust your student-athlete to the professionals at Union Health Sports Medicine and the Union Medical Group physicians. They have the training and experience to help manage sports-related concussions and evaluate if your student-athlete can safely return to practice and play.

Union Health Sports Medicine athletic trainers serve all area high schools, St. Mary's-of-the-Woods College, Terre Haute Rex, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  Our Certified Athletic Trainers serve as extensions of the Union Health Sports Medicine Physicians and evaluate injured athletes in conjunction with the team physician to determine a proper course of treatment.

Indiana law requires student-athletes who sustain neck or head injuries to be cleared by a healthcare provider before returning to play or practice.

Definition of Concussion
