24-7 Coverage

Union Hospital has in-house board-certified obstetrician coverage and in-house neonatology coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This means that pregnancy emergencies, when they do occur, can be addressed without hesitation.

Union Hospital also has an around-the-clock OB Emergency Department (OBED) for women experiencing complications associated with high-risk pregnancy. Our 9-bed OBED is staffed with Board Certified OB/GYNs and provides a dedicated space to provide care for pregnancy-related emergencies. The OBED’s location ensures quick access to surgical care – which means that even the most serious of pregnancy complications can be addressed quickly.

Infants born preterm are treated within Union Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) – the Wabash Valley’s only Level III NICU and one of fewer than ten Level III NICUs across the state of Indiana.

Healthier, together.
