Why participate in a support group? Why not! Patients may benefit from a support group if they feel alone, feel that no one else has experienced such intense pain, worry about the symptoms they are experiencing, have few people available for support or are hesitant to rely on friends and family.
The following support systems are available to our patients:
Cancer & Education Support Group
This group is for anyone who has ever been diagnosed with any form of cancer. It meets on the third Tuesday of every month from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Pie Company in Terre Haute.
Ostomy Support Group
This group is dedicated to the education, support and rehabilitation of anyone who has undergone ostomy surgery. The group meets the first Thursday of every month. For more information, please call (812) 238-7370.
Better Breathers Club Support Group
This group meets every third Thursday of the month from 2-3 p.m. in Pulmonary Rehab on the fourth floor of the Professional Office Building. The group is open to patients, family members, caregivers, and/or friends of anyone suffering from Lung Disease. The meetings provide education and support for anyone affected by Lung Disease.
