While you are here, your care, comfort and satisfaction are our primary concerns. We are making every effort to make your birth an enjoyable experience for you and your baby. From our private birthing suites that offer a soothing environment for the birth of your baby, to the supportive environment provided in the mother-baby unit as you learn about your new little one, and through the transition home - we are here for you.
Most births are positive and experiences, yet emergencies can arise without warning. Laboring women can take comfort that their safety and the safety of their babies are greatly increased by our state-of-the-art technology and the advanced training of our staff. Union Hospital has in-house board-certified obstetrician coverage and in-house neonatology coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This means that pregnancy emergencies, when they do occur, can be addressed without hesitation. Infants born preterm are treated within Union Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) – the Wabash Valley’s only Level III NICU.
With so much to offer, it's no wonder that 8 out of every 10 local moms choose to have their babies at Union Hospital.
